A Little History

From an English tea room in Washington to a little bakery in Michigan.

  1. 1998

Elizabeth & Alexander’s English Tea Room

In 1998, as a 24 year-old novice, my sister and I created the menu for our parents’ dream restaurant, Elizabeth & Alexander’s English tea room in Bothell, Washington.

  2. 15 years

    A Place to Gather

That full menu existed for 15 years as we delighted thousands of patrons. We offered a beautiful place for time to slip sideways as people took time out of their day to reconnect, celebrate or grieve. Some simply read a book or journaled over a pot of tea and scone, lunch or a full afternoon tea.

    Catering & Celebrations

Along the way, I picked up catering that led to culinary delights for large auctions, weddings, private dinner parties, and afternoon tea at women’s events.

    The Move to Michigan

After a career change for my amazing husband, we moved to Michigan and together raised five beautiful people.
